Dr. Joanne Gronquist attended Pacific Union College in Angwin, California for her undergraduate work and received her Doctorate in Optometry from the Southern California College of Optometry in 1997. She completed her residency in Cornea and External Disease with an emphasis on LASIK co management at the University of Houston College of Optometry and worked with Jack Holladay, M.D., A.A.C.S. Dr. Gronquist is passionate about her profession and is a Past-President of the Tri-County Optometric Society and continues to serve as the Chair of Governmental Affairs.
She enjoys seeing patients of all ages, including infants as young as 6 months old. She particularly focuses on taking the time to explain everything to her patients so they can understand their eye conditions to preserve their vision for the rest of their lives.
He completed his undergraduate work at the University of California at Santa Barbara and received his doctorate at the University of California at Berkeley. As a member of the American and California Optometric Associations, he enjoys staying abreast with current trends in modern eye care. He also volunteers for infantsee.org.
Dr. Tem Gronquist was born in Connecticut and grew up in Boston and Santa Barbara. He and his wife, Joanne, are the proud parents of two daughters, Audrey and Sierra. In his spare time, he enjoys windsurfing, biking, and tandem surfing.
Dr. Corinne Chick completed her optometry education at UC Berkeley School of Optometry. She is fully trained in the treatment of ocular diseases including glaucoma, macular degeneration, and diabetic retinopathy. She has extensive experience with fitting all types of contact lenses, working with children and adults of all ages, and is able to provide an eye exam in Spanish. She is also a member of the American and California Optometric Associations. Dr. Chick especially values taking the time to carefully listen to each patient’s needs and thoroughly explain conditions and appropriate treatment plans.
She is a Bay Area native and moved to Santa Barbara in 2017. Since then, she has been enjoying the sunny weather, and in her free time, she likes to help with her local church, explore the area with her husband and daughter, as well as try new recipes.
Aaron, our office manager, has extensive management experience in both the Public and Private Sectors since 2011. With a passion for people and customer service, Aaron seeks to elevate the level of patient care and the overall experience of our patients while in our office. From reception and scheduling to insurance and office administration, he strives to make every aspect of our patients' visit easy and enjoyable.
Originally from Northern California, Aaron came to Santa Barbara to attend school and has been here ever since. He is a husband and father of four. In his spare time, he enjoys spending time with his wife and kids, working out, coaching Football and Basketball, and singing in his church worship band.
